SAVE THE DATE FOR THE 27TH ANNUAL BLACK-N-BLUE BALL
Friday, May 8, 2020
6:00 PM-12:00 AM
Together with presenting sponsor Harley-Davidson® Motor Company, the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Southern Wisconsin hosts the Black-N-Blue Ball.
The Ball is one of Wisconsin’s largest, longest-running and most successful fundraisers. The motorcycle theme encourages guests to dress in black leather and blue denim. No stuffy tuxedos or fancy cocktail dresses here – just the opportunity for corporate and community leaders to come together and raise funds for a cure for neuromuscular disease.
The event features an evening full of fine dining and entertainment, live and silent auctions, a motorcycle raffle, a wine pull, and much more. In 2019, the Black-N-Blue Ball attracted a crowd of 1,150 guests and raised over $1.2 million to support MDA’s programs and services. The Black-N-Blue Ball has raised over $14 million in the past 26 years! We invite you to join us and take part in one of Milwaukee’s premiere charitable events.

About Our EMCEE – STEPHANIE GRADY
Philadelphia-raised with Packers pride may be the best way to sum up my ties to the Milwaukee area. I wasn’t born in Wisconsin nor have I ever lived in the Badger State until now. But my father grew up in Whitefish Bay and ingrained the Cheesehead mentality into me and my three younger siblings since Day One.
I began in the TV business before I even graduated from Penn State University, but I definitely didn’t start college thinking this is where I’d end up. I wanted to be a doctor. My dad is a doctor. Almost everyone in my family works in the medical field in some shape or form. The problem is, I hate needles. Needles and spiders – I can’t do either. So… on to plan b.
I grew up a competitive figure skater, so I’ve been accustomed to performing since the age of six. I also love to learn, and have a deep sense of curiosity even a cat would envy. That helped steer me towards journalism, specifically television journalism. I enrolled in Penn State’s College of Communications, joined the university’s student-run television station, started my own show called “The U” (which is still produced to this day) and landed some good internships.
I got my first general assignment reporter job right out of school in Erie, PA. From there, I bounced around a lot, got married and had our first child before ending up in Milwaukee in September 2014. Now my husband Joe and I have two kiddos. Our son Jack is six. Our daughter Harper is two. We love living in Milwaukee and raising our family with Midwestern values.
I also love bringing the news of the day to the people of Milwaukee and beyond. If you’re not watching already, I invite you to join me weeknights on FOX6 News at 4, 6 & 9 p.m.
